Slades Park Junior parkrun celebrated a major milestone on Sunday as it held its 100th event. The weekly 2km run for children aged 4 to 14, which takes place every Sunday at Slades Park in Bournemouth, has been a huge success since its launch in 2018.

Over the past two and a half years, the event has attracted hundreds of young runners and volunteers, who have helped to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for children to enjoy the benefits of regular exercise and outdoor activity.

146 juniors completed the course, with 4 milestone wristbands and 30 first timers!

Overall, the 100th event was a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the Slades Park Junior parkrun, and a reminder of the positive impact that regular exercise and outdoor activity can have on young people.
