This year's Dorset leadership academy was a great success; engaging with 560 students from 40 secondary schools across Dorset. The programme creates a movement across schools, unifying young leaders with a passion for increasing participation in sport, physical activity, and play. Supported by a core set of partners, the Dorset Leadership Academy offers a programme of leadership training to children and young people in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and the wider Dorset area.

This event provides positive experiences for children and young people - one of Sport England's five big issues, helping to Unite the Movement. The day was also supported by famous Athletes, including Olympic Rower Beth Rodford and Sports Broadcaster Dan Strange.
